Defluorinated phosphate

Defluorinated phosphate is a feed additive used to enrich the diet of poultry and farm animals with calcium and phosphorus. Its chemical formula is Ca4Na(PO4)3.

Physical and Chemical Properties

According to its physical characteristics, the additive obtained from apatite concentrate is a finely ground powder or granules with a color gradation from light yellow and gray to deep brown.

Composition:

• Phosphorus – from 18%
• Calcium – from 30%
• Sodium – from 5%
• Arsenic, fluorine, cadmium, mercury – within the limits permitted in the Russian Federation.

The undeniable advantage of DFP is the presence of a high amount of phosphorus soluble in citric and hydrochloric acids. This form provides high phosphorus and calcium absorption, with a standard concentration of the latter, and has turned out to be most productive in farm animals, particularly in poultry. The presence of 5% sodium increases the digestibility of the additive in poultry and livestock .

Currently, defluorinated phosphate exists in two forms:

• Brand P is a light-gray, odorless powder. It isn’t hygroscopic, doesn’t cake during storage, and doesn’t dust.
• Brand G is a light-gray, microgranulated, odorless powder. It isn’t hygroscopic, doesn’t cake during storage, and doesn’t dust.

Instructions for Use:

• Gradual addition. The amount depends on individual production standards.
• It is allowed to mix the additive with compound feeds and feed mixtures of all forms (concentrate, dry, moist).
• Feeding is both individual and group.

Benefits of the Feed Additive

The main distinguishing property of defluorinated phosphate is the presence of sodium, phosphorus, and calcium.

Storage and Packaging Requirements

Defluorinated phosphate comes in 50 and 1000-kilogram packages. These are plastic and paper valve bags and polypropylene Big Bags, also known as MKR, made in the Russian Federation. DFP has the following manufacturer’s designations: the date of manufacture, composition, weight, shelf life and storage conditions, and other data according to the regulations applicable to the packaging of mineral additives in force in the Russian Federation.

Storing the food additive according to the instructions for no more than 5 years is crucial. Storage with other fertilizers and chemicals is not permitted.
